Sameena Jabeen Rao
Sameena Jabeen Rao is an Indian born American artist based in Indianapolis. Her main passion is digital photography. She started photographing food, cataloguing the recipes her mother passed down to her. This slowly evolved into a love of photography, now with an emphasis on abstract still lives. As in life, her art is always changing. Her art speaks to our different selves and explores our many identities.
Her work intertwines themes and motifs from her Indian background, using fabric and found objects. Her work juxtaposes the ordinary from our every day to create something unusual and thought provoking for the viewer. How do you see the world?
